SBI PO 2023 Selection Process
The SBI PO recruitment test is India’s most prestigious public-sector bank exam. Compared to the IBPS bank entrance tests, it is thought to be a little harder. At SBI, there are three steps in the process of hiring Probationary Officers:
- 1. Preliminary Examination
- 2. Main Examination
- 3. GD/Interview
SBI PO Recruitment 2023- Important Points
The following things about the SBI PO selection process should be remembered by the candidates:
- Biometric Verification: To make sure that the SBI PO 2023 selection process is error-free and safe, the bank may take a digital image of the candidate’s thumb. This is done to make sure that the prospects are real. If the biometric proof doesn’t match up, the candidate will be turned down and the law will be used to punish them. So, candidates are told not to put anything on their hands from the outside, like ink, Mehndi, chemicals, etc.
- Number of Attempts: The most chances you can get in each area are set. Those who have already used all of their chances cannot apply. Going to the Preliminary Exam doesn’t count as a try, but going to the Mains Exam does.
Category | Number of Chances |
---|---|
General/ EWS | 4 |
General/ EWS (PWD) | 7 |
OBC/ OBC(PWD) | 7 |
SC/SC(PWD)/ST/ST(PWD) | No restriction |

The sectional cut-offs in the Preliminary Exam have been taken away, so candidates need to know that the total score from all the sections will be used to decide who moves on to the next round. The Bank decides each year, based on how hard the test is, how many points you need to get to pass each part. Here’s how the points are broken up by section:
